Welcome to my first video in my ‘Day in the Life Series’, a behind the scenes look at my daily routine and travels.
This video was super experimental. The entire thing was shot on an iPhone and I gave little importance to shot selection, cinematography and framing.
My goal here was to learn a platform I had never used before, Adobe Premiere Pro and see if this style of content was a viable option for something regular in the future.
This video was shot in the North of Italy where I spent most of my summer. It’s an example of how my life looks on a typical working day. No glamour, just the grind. I wanted to kick this series off with something modest because I really wanted to give people a true feel for what I do on a daily basis (there’s enough of the glamour on my social media as it is).
It took me roughly 4 hours to shoot and 10 hours to edit, although I had to learn an entirely new platform and I’m no video editing whiz (as you can tell). I’m hoping I can get my total time down to 10 hours per video. One video per week would be ambitious, but if this gets enough engagement I’ll keep them coming.
Despite the enormous time commitment, I loved every minute. My vision with this for the future is to make it a weekly show (largely travel based), where I bring people around on a tour of my life, travels and poker adventures. I’ll definitely keep them honest, raw and real, as I want people to get a good feel for the real me.
Think Snapchat or Instagram Stories, only longer.
I’ll definitely improve these if I decide to keep them on the channel, and a lot will depend on your feedback. Please leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts!
Also, I’d really appreciate if you shared this post with a friend so I could get their opinion as well!
Thanks in advance and I appreciate your patience while I experiment with a new format.

I’m already jealous enough of your your life as it is. Watching your new lifestyle videos is like rubbing salt in the wound 🙂
I don’t know if a 8 minute VLOG once a week is worth it though, especially if it takes 10 hours to edit. Is there someone you can hire to do the editing and increase the amount of content? and how personal are you planning on getting in it? If you’re not going to let everyone into your life the way someone like say Roman Attwood does on his VLOG, then I’d say don’t waste your time.
But that doesn’t mean I didn’t like it. I WILL watch whatever you release, even though it makes me hate my life! 🙂
Thanks Mike appreciate that!
