This past week, I had plans to go to Macau to grind some more before the World Series of Poker in the end of May. The opportunity seemed too much to pass up. But as the time got closer something just didn’t feel right.
My heart was somewhere else.
I eat, slept and breathed poker the last few months. And when I wasn’t playing, I was working.
In other words going straight to Macau felt forced.
And we all know that trying to force a situation never turns out well.
So I listened to myself instead. Why did I feel this way?
Most importantly, what do you do when you’re heart and your head collide?
