We all long for those summer vacations when we were a kid. I think it’s the feeling of complete freedom and lack of preoccupation with life that is hard to find when we reach adulthood.
For me that place was the Grand Wailea Maui, Hawaii. My family would vacation there every summer, and for 7 endless days, from sun up to sun down,
I’d play in the endless pools, slides and water park, until the skin peeled off my back.
It’s truly a heaven for kids, so if you have any, take them (even if you’re not staying there, you can visit for the day and purchase a wrist band to visit the pools).
Many of my unforgettable memories are from there – from my first kiss to my first Mai Tai, and the feeling that one gets when entering through the majestic lobby is unmistakable: it says, “Welcome to Hawaii.”
