The previous post How To Deal With Swings discussed how much focusing on 5 positive things a day could help us change our mood, be more grateful and face our day (and of course poker) with a more positive attitude.
I have just spent 30 really tiring hours, during which I played poker non stop and only slept for 4, and I know I will be lucky if I can sleep for 5 or 6 today. Nevertheless I don’t want to complain and I just want to focus on the good. Looking at the pictures of some beautiful memories or scenarios I have seen helps me detach my mind from poker and prevents me from going to bed dreaming about Aces and Full Houses.

Io ho appena avuto 30 ore incredibilmente stancanti, durante le quali ho giocato a poker non stop e dormito solo per 4, e sarò fortunato se riuscirò a dormire 5 o 6 di quelle successive. Tuttavia non voglio lamentarmi, ma concentrarmi sulle cose allegre. Osservare le foto di qualche bel ricordo o di un paesaggio suggestivo che ho visto mi aiuta a staccare la mente dal poker e a non andare a letto sognando Assi e Full House.

Im always looking to learn about poker/life and although i just stumbled on to your page i have already read some very insightful things, so thank you. I had a great 2012 but am in the middle of an awful 2013 and am trying to move ahead and succeed on the felt. With that said my 5 things for today are:
1. My health- (knock on wood. I cant remember even the last time i had a little cold)
2. My Dog- My puppy is the best dog in the Eastern Sierras of California
3. Im happy to have found this web blog, I have been looking for some sort of mentor/someone who inspires me to achieve good things
4. My truck, I have a good ride and love it!
5. Im happy its nice outside this weekend, with winter right around the corner, this is warm weather in the mountains is even better!

As for what would I like to see more of, and want to read bout? Well, one thing I love seeing is Chip photos(some call it chip porn, lol) from the table action. But mostly just like seeing new stuff, which u do a good job of, posting neat interesting things like Lanterns in hong kong, so just keep on doing ur thing i guess. thank you.

Hello, I think your blog might be having browser compatibility issues.
When I look at your blog site in Firefox, it looks fine but when opening in Internet Explorer, it has some overlapping.

I was interested to find out how you center yourself and clear your mind before writing.
I’ve had a difficult time clearing my mind in getting my ideas
out there. I truly do enjoy writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are lost just
trying to figure out how to begin. Any suggestions or hints?
Start by journaling and just do a ‘stream of consciousness’ where you write whatever comes to mind. Describe your computer in detail. It doesn’t matter. Just like getting the body warm before a workout helps, I find that the same process helps my writing. Good luck!
